Scott cursed lightly as he exited the hospital, throwing a haphazard glance over his shoulders.Doctors didn`t know a thing. He could play in the next game,he was fine.He had sprained his right wrist a few weeks back, but it was just about healed and didn`t affect his ability to pitch at all.The doctors did not concur. He couldn`t leave yet,his uncle had the truck and would be by to pick him up in about ten minutes. With that in mind he decided to take a walk.Poking his sunglasses gently up the bridge of his nose he started on.
Scott looked normal,he had on a simple jersey, his name on the back.He played for a near-by team.Underneath that was a long sleeved cotton shirt, one that hugged his well muscled, but skinny arms tightly.Jeans were a dark denim and he wore some black sneakers, that were floppy and looked as if they had seen better days. His hair was a gently curly brown, face features sharp, yet gentle at the same time.A blue baseball cap sat perched backward atop his head,no doubt influneced by his uncles choice of hatwear.
A low sigh escaped his parted lips, shoulders hunched as he thrusts his hands into his front pockets, taking the appearance of someone fighting off a chill, even though the weather was fine.

Looking back over the years Of All the things I've always meant to say But words didn't come easily So many times through empty fears Of all the nights I tried to pick up the phone So scared of who might be answering...
Dreams...could they truely come true? Aria didn't exactly think so herself. She was walking out of the hospital now as she was on her way to home to see her children, Renee and Trevor. They were fiesty 2 week old twins, but she loved 'em both. How could she not? She decided to take a break and walk around a awhile before she went home.
The babysitter's got 'em she thought to herself. Nothing seemed right. Ever since her boyfriend left her pregnant with the twins at the last moment. She only worked one job as the only doctor at the moment at Mercy Medical. She never thought of dating again, after everything breaking apart with her 1st boyfriend. But she had a feeling she could do it again though. She sat down on a bench next to the one a man sat on. She looked around, watching as though the days were going by fast. Cars exited and entered. An mbulance came by. It all seemed too busy right now.
A few rose bushes were by the Hospital entrance, in bloom as spring was at its ending and summer at its beginning. She noticed the man infront of her walking at a steady pace. She jogged up to him. He seemed as though something was bothering him.
Her pink hued kissers unsealed to reveal a soft, gentle voice from her vocals. "Hi" she barely made out. It seemed to slip from her mouth. Great job, Aria. Note to self, don't do that she silently thought to her self as she slowed to a walk alongside the man. "I'm Aria." she finished. That was it. all she could take right now. She really shouldn't have even said anything and should of just gone on her way, but she didn't.
...Long after tonight Will you still hear my voice through the radio Old desires make us act carelessly Long after tonight, after the fire After the scattered ashes fly Through the four winds blown and gone Will you come back to me?
(lyrics of The Heart Won't Lie by Reba McEntire)

Hand shoved even further into his pockets,a slight scowl on his face, but it wasn`t there for long.Soon he was caught up in the rhythmic motion of his legs, the cars that drove past making muted sounds upon the pavement and just the sheer experience of being outside.Without thinking he urged himself faster, almost hoping he could outrun everything.Sure, his life was great,he had a wonderful uncle, though monosyllabic, but he was there for him when he needed.
He jumped suddenly, when someone appeared next to him,a slight frown on his face."Awww jeeze! Don`t do that... " he grumbled, normally laid back, but he wasn`t particularly fond of being snuck up on,as he tried to catch his balance. He peered at her from behind his sunglasses, keeping his pace a bit fast, but slower then before."Nice to meet you Aria." he relented, slightly, slowing his pace a tad.

Aria smiled a bit and slows down and walks along Scott's side."So, what brings you here?" she asked him. She wondered what he did for a living and why he even came to Texas. Everything seemed to be alright for now. In peace, yet stressless.

He raised an eyebrow behind his tinted glasses and bit his lip before answering."My uncle." he said bluntly."Ah,well, here to the hospital ?" he backtracked, figuring out her line of question."I had a sprained wrist a few weeks back,I wanted to be able to play baseball next week, but the docs say it`s not healed yet." he finished with a grumble.

Aria looked at him, stunned. She had somewhat had always wanted to see a baseball game since she had never seen one, but yet she didn't. "Really? That's truely too bad. Hope it gets better soon though." she said with sorrow in her voice. "I've never seen a basball game before. I've had a sort of wanting to though." she continued butwith some happiness in her voice this time. "It's just been busy with moving here and taking care of my two infants, Renee and Trevor. They're twins." she finished. She just kept walking on with him, talking. She never really had anyone to talk to much before til now.

He watches her out of the corner of her eye."Yeah,I hope so too." he nods slightly."I`ve played baseball ever since I was little. It`s fun,but then you`d have to like it to enjoy it." he said, with a small shrug."Twins huh ?" he said, more then questioned.

Aria couldn't help but bare a smile. "Yeah. Renee's personality is like the play it safe an Trevor's is the adverturer's personality. They have totally different personalities basically." she said as she thought for a moment of soemthing but then got back to talking. "They're at home...with the babysitter I hired for during the day when I'm working here." she continued.

Aria looked at her watch. She needed to get a move on home soon. She had dinner to make for herself and then to feed the twins also. She had a good many things to do. "Thanks." she began. "Say, if you want to, do you want to get together with me tomorrow at the park?" she asked.

Looking to her he gave her a apologetic smile."I`d love to,but I promised my uncle I would help out at the diner, and then I have to at least watch practice or the coach will chew me out." he said, voice throughly apologetic. He was never fond of letting people down,or telling them he couldn`t do something even though he couldn`t help it.
Sucking in his breath he looked up to see his uncle watching from the truck,a very amused expression fixated upon his strong features.Scott winced."Thats`s my uncle." he motioned with his head."I gotta get going,it was nice meeting you though, maybe I`ll see you around." he said, then headed toward the old rusted pick up.

Aria smiled as Scott walked off and was heading on his way. "You too." she said right before he left and got into the truck. Aria thought to herself as she walked back all the way to the hospital and got in her car and drove home. It was nearing the end of the day, so she went home.
