.just what did you fear?.
Already she had second thoughts. Already were her nerves bubbling within her, and she didn’t want to do this. She really wanted to turn around and forget everything right now, but the feeling of letting some one down was unbearable. She took the opportunity, and she’d been given the best opportunity in her life, so she was going to have to cope. Manager. Manager. She could repeat those words over, and over again and she won’t get sick of it. She was so proud of her self, for making the manager position, when dozens of applicants could have done just as good of a job. But she’ll be doing what she does best, loving animals. The interaction with people wasn’t going to be a problem either, because she’d hardly have to deal with it. She just had to manage the shop, shouldn’t be too hard? Sure, she wasn’t the sharpest tool in the tool box, but she was bright in her own ways.
.can you hear when i call?.
Lower appendages carried the skittish female over the street, her head lowered in lack of confidence, as she clasped the bag tightly to her arm. It was fairly chilly this morning, so a pale pink, almost off-white jacket covered up her dainty figure. Being hidden was the best feeling in the world. Honey brown optics only rose to view how near she approached the building she now managed, and once close enough she permanently lifted her crown from the lazy droop. Skinny limb was propelled forward, and jerked the door open, before stepping inside. (I’m just going to pretend the owner is a female for now until an owner does come.) A woman appeared busy at her desk. The area was warm, complimented by the background noise of canine’s barking, and birds chirping. She exhaled a welcome breath, and neared the front desk.
.do you see that i breathe as i fall?.
The woman lowered her coffee cup and look up to Telee, she wanted a good first impression, so she decorate her pale, tired features with a delicate smile. ‘You’re Telee, I’m guessing? I almost thought you weren’t coming.’ The woman spoke, Telee said nothing. ‘Well welcome to claws ‘n’ paws, congratulations on getting the manager spot, by the way.’ The assumed owner spoke once more, Telee forced the closest thing to a giggle she could create from her lips in reply. ‘Your desk in out back, I’ll see you soon to organise some things you’ll need to do.’ Eyeing Telee up and down, she turned back to her computer screen, still scoffing at the world these days. Allowing an eighteen year old manage a whole store. Telee swallowed the little liquid she had in her throat, before brushing golden fringe from her face, getting her mind in order, and animated her steps towards her desk, so where was ‘out back’?
.i’ll never hear above the screams of your grave.
