She nodded her head softly and looked to the dog, pale yet striking blue optics tracing patterns on his coat."That`s a nice job." she said after a moment, looking up at him with a smile."Sounds fun,but I wouldn`t have the courage for it." she shook her head slightly, sliding her hands into her pockets.

"Courage is what you make of it...everybody's got it somewhere." he said softly, smiling lightly.

"Well," she said after a few moments,a smile still tracing her lips."I haven`t found it yet.I`ll keep looking...maybe I`ll find it somewhere....maybe in the vegetable drawer." she commented, knowing this would probably throw him off, because one,he most likely wasn`t aware of her ability to be totally random, and two,he probably didn`t know she hated vegetables and her vegetable draw was something she never went near.

He laughed lightly. "Well, maybe you'll find it when you're in there for something." he said softly.

She made a face."Eww vegetables." she looked to the dog, making slight clucking noises with her tongue, blue eyes dancing.

He laughed lightly before giving Rex a pat on the head. "I guess you're right there." he said, making a slight face. He had never liked vegetables, but was moreless forced to eat them as a kid.

She just gave him a slightly shy smile and shifted as she walked, making her have the appearance of skipping. She stopped suddenly, looking to the trees, her eyes fixated upon a deer."Ohh...deer..." she breathed, her blue eyes alight with wonder.

He laughed lightly, amused with her amusement at the sight of the deer. He smiled softly and glanced at it. It was a small doe. He sighed softly as Rex whimpered and looked at the girl, begging her to keep walking.

Lorelai gave the dog a slight playful scowl and continued walking, her blue eyes not leaving the form of the doe.

He smiled softly and looked at her. "You don't see that often do you?" He'd seen deer all too often in his lifetime. They weren't anything magnificent to him, though they were beautiful and he respected them.

She looked back to him, gaze looking as if she was caught."No,not really." she admitted, wistfulness strong in her voice."I`ve probably only seen one twice before, and just barely."

"Oh, really?" he questioned. "With where I was raised and all, I've seen plenty." he said quietly, his grey eyes locking with hers.

She met his gaze squarely with dancing blues, her expression hard to discern."Where I lived,I wished I could see them.I guess in a way they represented freedom to me I guess...." she trailed off, unsure where this revelation came from. Her smile was a sad one.Her childhood had not been the best, you could say.Her parents were controlling, the environment high class and stifling. Not to good for a soul as sensitive and inquisitive with the flare and need for some sort of action like hers. Her eyes lingered upon the doe,as it stared back then turned almost it seemed,in slow motion and trotted gracefully to the woods.

"Oh, wow." he said with a soft smile. "I just...never really thought of it that way. I've always been...free spirited I guess you could say." spoke the young man.
This was true. He had never really been "captured" spiritually. He watched as the deer dissapered in front of the pair. He sighed softly before turning towards the woman, Rex panting at his side, wimpering, ready to get moving. Enough standing still, he seemed to say. The man laughed lightly before speaking. "Shall we move on?" he said with gentle tones.

"Trust me, not many people do think of it that way. Then again they didn`t grow up with my mother." Bright sapphires danced laughingly to claim the statement as jest.A warm smile curled the edges of her pale red lips, her raven locks once more resting on her pale ivory face. She huffed dramatically, although if you were not paying much attention, chances were you would not notice, and secured the lock behind her ear once more. Silent gaze followed the doe into the woods, a slight feeling of sadness coming over her that was quickly erased by his voice."We shall." she said with a reserved but still powerful smile, as she began to walk on.
